Welcome to the Daily Minor Planet, official blog of the IAU’s Minor Planet Center. Within these pages you will find an assortment of topics being covered, all related to minor planets in our Solar System. We will also bring you news and information about the MPC itself, with posts being written by various members of the team to give you a better understanding of what it is we do around here. The idea is to make this blog an informal outlet for the MPC. If it’s serious minor planet info you want, then you might want to check out the MPC Publications—they’re for grown-ups, though.
Bookmark us, subscribe to our RSS feed, sign up for e-mail updates or simply memorise our URL—you can even follow us on Twitter; whatever you do, just make sure you visit us regularly. I can’t promise daily content (in fact, I can guarantee you won’t get daily content), but I won’t allow the blog to grow stale either.
If you have any questions, ideas or suggestions, you can get in touch via the Contact page.
Humbly yours,
